"Stranddorf Augustenhof" is a beach village with a personal atmosphere
for people who enjoy holidaying in nature and are keen to meet like minded people.

	The beach village consits of 30 holiday homes with a sun terrace. For comfortable evenings there is a huge sitting-room with a warm fireplace. All the houses have green roofs and are thus adapted to the surrounding landscape as much as possible.
As a central meeting point, we have built a community building, which offers avariety of additional facilities i.e. an office, a café, a small health-food shop, places for playing games and reading and also washing machines and tumble dryers.
	The "Stranddorf Augustenhof" is a field trial for the best environmentally friendly solution to produce energy by using one central energy plant for all the 15 buildings which include a pellet burner next to the solar collectors.  In addition it is a test environment for nitrate circulation and new building materials.

On four fifths of the area will be a conservation area. The building of the holiday homes ensured the long-term protection of the area. The added value achieved by changing the use of the land offers immediate rewards to environment protection - another part of the beach village concept.
